An independent evaluation of color and intensity according to user defined settings takes place. In contrast to current color sensors, the MELOT module does not use a reference light source, but measures the light emitted by the test object.
The system was designed for the very fast parallel test of objects. The system is divided in a main unit (CPU) and at it connected peripheral modules. Each peripheral module is assigned to one testing object.
Due to the high stability and resolution the test results are by all means comparable to common spectrometers.
