LED Function Test Module VE0006-HG

As a variant for test of products with very low intensity the module VE0006-HG is available. Like the module VE0006 it was designed for the sequential test in production environment of 1 up to 6 LED's.

The module uses a 10 times higher sensitivity compared to the VE0006 and thus is suitable for the test of products with lowest intensity e.g. orientation lights at the automotive sector. Here self-illuminated objects in the visible area of light can be independently tested for color and intensity according to user defined specifications. Thus the module is especially suitable for functional tests or the quality selection of LEDs. Due to the high stability and resolution the test results are by all means comparable to common spectrometers.

From Firmware Version 8 the test of flickering LED's is possible very easily and reliable. Here among color and intensity the periodic time and the blink frequency can be detected.

The module can be used solely as analog sensor via the serial interface, however, it can also work via the digital I/O's as simple good/bad recognition. A parallel operation via both interfaces is also possible. As a good/bad application the device works with product specific parameters which will be configured by the user with a software tool included in the scope of delivery. These parameters are permanently saved in the device. The parameters of up to 15 completely different products can be defined and selectively tested.

A 16th product is reserved for an automatic compensation of the environment light before the actual test. This ensures the reliable operation even with changing environmental conditions.

Software Tool

The coupling of the light will be done via light guides in different configurations.

The standard versions available allow an adaption of up to 6 test objects to a single device. Due to their small outer dimensions, they can also be used for the test of LED's arranged in arrays (RM 3.3mm).

Independent from the housings, uni-color and multicolor types as duo- and full-color-LED's as well as white LED's can be tested. Customer specific light guide configurations can also be supplied which would for example simplify the test of 7-segment-displays.
